INAWAVE® Almond Shell is part of the upcycled collection, in which agricultural by-products are transformed into active eco-extracts for cosmetics. The almond shells make up to 70% of the total weight of almond production and are normally burnt for energy production. Our source is a producer in Provence, who cultivates organic almonds. A hyperfrequency extraction technology is then used, reducing energy consumption by 40% while recovering key molecules of interest, such as chlorogenic acid, with anti-inflammatory, energizing, and moisturizing properties for the skin.
