Plastic Seal Liners – Sustainable Product Protection with High Performance

Our plastic seal liners provide reliable product protection while meeting increasing demands for sustainability and recyclability. With a portfolio of more than 40 different material grades, BALLERSTAEDT offers tailored sealing solutions for a wide range of applications, including the demanding cosmetics industry.

The range includes both composite materials and mono-material solutions, each offering specific advantages in terms of product safety, processing performance and environmental compatibility.

The composite materials are based on PET films with an extrusion layer and are suitable for a wide variety of plastic containers. They are characterized by high puncture and tear resistance and can be custom printed using the flexographic printing process. The liners are available smooth or with pin-prick embossing, and in white or milky transparent versions.

Our mono-material solutions have been developed with a strong focus on recyclability and sustainable packaging concepts. Made from pure PET for sealing PET containers, they are available in highly transparent or metallized versions. Despite being plastic-based, they offer high rigidity and temperature resistance – comparable to aluminum seal liners – as well as excellent puncture and tear resistance. These liners can also be printed using flexographic printing and are supplied with pin-prick embossing.

All plastic seal liners can be processed using heat sealing machines, ensuring safe and reproducible sealing results.
