The healing power of shepherd's purse
Mibelle presents new herbal active ingredient to combat red and irritated skin
The Swiss Mibelle Group has developed the innovative herbal active ingredient complex AmelioSense, which is designed to specifically combat skin irritation and redness. In particular, it combats pyroptosis - a programmed, highly inflammatory cell death, reports the company. AmelioSense combines an extract of shepherd's purse (Capsella bursa-pastoris), a traditional plant with anti-inflammatory and wound-healing properties, with three powerful antioxidants: carnosine, tocopherol and silymarin. In this way, the active ingredient supports a calm, balanced skin tone - instead of irritated and reddened skin.
Fewer veins in the cheeks
In laboratory tests, AmelioSense was able to reduce the activity of the pyroptosis key enzyme, the release of reactive oxygen species and various inflammatory markers. Clinical studies have shown, among other things, a visible improvement in irritation and skin redness and a reduction in the formation of veins in the cheek area. AmelioSense thus promotes a calm, balanced skin tone instead of irritated and reddened skin.
A tradition of naturopathy
Shepherd's purse is a Central European plant from the cruciferous family and has a long tradition in naturopathy, particularly due to its anti-inflammatory and wound-healing properties. Its name refers to the shape of its fruit, which is reminiscent of the pockets of old shepherds. The active ingredient is formulated as a water-soluble powder without preservatives and without alcohol. The recommended concentration for use is two percent. For better skin penetration, the active ingredient is sprayed onto maltodextrin in fine droplets.
