Rossmann's Robot
Drugstore chain tests its first humanoid colleague in logistics
Rossmann is testing a UBTech Walker S2 humanoid robot from Terra Robotics, based in Löhne, at its logistics facility in Burgwedel. According to the company, the robot is designed to assist specifically with repetitive and ergonomically challenging tasks, thereby reducing the workload on logistics staff. Following the pilot project, which is scheduled to run throughout 2026, Rossmann plans to develop a long-term deployment strategy. “We want to use our own experiences to determine early on what works in everyday use and where the limits lie,” says Hendrik van Duuren, Head of Logistics at Rossmann.
