Packaging turned upside down
Aptar Closures develops closure for drip-free dispensing without a cap
Aptar Closures, the closures division of the international Aptar Group, has launched a new range of capless dispenser closures. The first two products for cosmetics and personal care, named Cleo and Airy, enable bottles to stand upside down without separate caps. Thanks to the SimpliSqueeze valve, the ready-to-use packaging can stand upside down permanently without spilling, dripping or wasting product. The flow control valve allows for immediate use and easy dispensing without product waste.
One squeeze is all it takes
The company explains that squeezing the bottle opens the valve, which closes again when released. This eliminates the need to touch a cap. Leakage and the ingress of foreign particles are significantly reduced. The valves ensure a consistent dispensing stream and a clean shut-off even with wet hands, combining ease of use with hygiene. The personal care products are ready for immediate use and remain open at all times.
High-quality design
According to Aptar Closures, the frosted closures offer a premium feel and an attractive appearance. They are suitable for a wide range of products, such as shampoos and conditioners, shower gels and lotions, and can be adapted to different product viscosities. The technology is already being used for pet care shampoos in China. Further variants are available for the household and hair care markets. “The Cleo and Airy closures help brands improve their customers’ interaction with everyday products by simplifying their daily routine,” says Maria Vazquez-Ricote, Manager at Aptar Closures.
