Dr. Wilfried Petersen

Vita

Dr. Petersen received his doctorate from the Institute of Organic Chemistry at the University of Hamburg in 1995 and then joined Dr. Straetmans GmbH, where he served as Managing Director from 2002 until the end of 2024. In the course of the acquisition of Dr. Straetmans GmbH by Evonik in 2017, Dr. Petersen assumed responsibility for regulatory, quality assurance, and sustainability in the Evonik Care Solutions business unit in addition to his role as Managing Director. Dr. Petersen is the author of specialist publications on the topics of cosmetic raw materials, preservation, natural cosmetics, and sustainability. He is member of the Board of Directors of the German Society for Scientific and Applied Cosmetics (DGK).
