The EU Ecolabel is the official ecolabel of the European Union, introduced by the European Commission in 1992. It is recognised in all 27 EU Member States as well as in Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein, and complies with the EU Directive Empowering Consumers for the Green Transition and ISO 14024. It is awarded to rinse-off and leave-on products. The aim is to help consumers and purchasers choose cosmetic products that have a lower environmental impact and meet high standards of health protection.
