Wellness for four-legged friends
Rituals expands its range with dog care products
The Dutch cosmetics brand Rituals is expanding its range to include a care range for dogs. The new ‘Rituals Dog Care’ collection comprises seven care products, as well as two gift sets and various accessories, the company reports. With this move, Rituals aims to extend its wellness concept to pets. Bathing, coat care and grooming are intended to become shared moments of well-being for both dog and owner. The products are available in Rituals boutiques, selected department stores and via the online shop.
Paw balm and mouth spray
The range includes, amongst other things, a dog shampoo and the ‘Smell Ya Later’ dry shampoo. Both contain chamomile and are scented with white tea, apricot and sandalwood. The fragrances have been specially developed for dogs. A paw balm designed to be massaged in is intended to nourish and protect dry, rough and stressed paw pads. Cleaning wipes are designed to enable quick cleaning of the coat and paws. The ‘Breathtaking’ mouth spray is intended to provide fresher breath between dental care routines. Added to this is the alcohol-free dog perfume ‘Smell Like a Pup-Star’, which combines musk notes with roasted sweet almond and iris and is designed to freshen up the coat between washes.
Lifestyle for your four-legged friend
Beyond its grooming products, Rituals is building a small lifestyle range. The range includes, amongst other things, collars and a foldable water bowl for when you’re out and about. Two gift sets combine several grooming products with a dog ball. The range is complemented by an air and fabric freshener that refreshes rooms and everyday textiles such as sofas, beds and cushions. “We believe that happiness lies in the little moments of care that we share with one another,” says Rituals’ Innovation Manager, Lot van Rij. Rituals Dog Care is designed to extend this philosophy to dogs. Furthermore, Rituals supports nature conservation organisations such as ‘Pristine Seas’ and ‘Sacred Forests’ as part of its ‘10% Profit for Impact’ initiative.
