Group aims to scale high-quality men's grooming brand internationally
The Unilever Group has acquired the men's grooming brand Dr. Squatch from Summit Partners. The move is intended to expand Unilever's portfolio in premium and growth areas, the company said. Founded in Los Angeles in 2013, the start-up has used its retail and direct-to-consumer model to attract millions of men with natural personal care products, including natural soaps, shower gels, deodorants, hair and skin care products with special fragrances and high-quality ingredients. ‘Dr. Squatch has built a solid foundation and loyal following with sought-after products and smart digital strategies,’ said Fabian Garcia, President of Unilever Personal Care.
