Triple bottle for mixing
Unica Packaging enables dosing for products with multiple formulas
Unica Packaging, the Chinese specialist in plastic packaging for the cosmetics industry, has introduced a new container concept with its Triple Mix Bottle. The three-chamber packaging is designed to simplify the application of complex multi-formula products. According to the company, it uses a novel pump design that ensures effortless dispensing of the product and replaces the complicated multiple pump mechanisms of conventional multi-chamber systems with a single pump.
One bottle, multiple chambers
The Triple-Mix Bottle can hold three separately stored formulations in a single bottle. Two sealed inner chambers are suspended inside the bottle body and are only opened when the pump is activated. This means that the respective ingredients in the sealed inner chambers are only mixed together immediately before use. This keeps the components separate until they are used. This is intended to maintain stability and freshness and enable simple, even dosing.
Demand for solutions is growing
The Triple-Mix Bottle targets the growing demand for innovative solutions for multifunctional cosmetics or cosmetics that require activation. It is particularly suited to products with different combinations of active ingredients that need to be stabilised separately until they are activated during use. In addition, the product mixture is created entirely in the bottle, preventing spillage and product waste. Alongside the Triple Mix solution, Unica also sells the Powder Mix Airless Bottle, a packaging system designed to facilitate the activation of powder-based cosmetic ingredients. In the bottle, liquid and powder components are stored separately in two chambers that are only opened when activated. According to its own information, Unica manufactures all components itself on its own production lines and employs around 150 people.
