Self-loading dispensing pipette

Aptar Beauty and Dermalogica unveil new dropper pipette for skincare

Packaging specialist Aptar and the US skincare brand Dermalogica have jointly unveiled the new self-loading dispensing pipette, the ‘NeoDropper Autoload’. Aptar Beauty’s technology is being used in Dermalogica’s Futurecode Booster skincare product, the companies announced. Developed for premium skincare and dermocosmetics brands, the pipette solution is designed to meet consumers’ needs for dosage control, convenience and hygienic application by enabling precise dosing and an optimal user experience.

Consistently accurate dosing

The ‘NeoDropper Autoload’ combines a ‘twist-and-push’ dispensing mechanism with a self-loading dropper cap that automatically refills the applicator with a consistent dose after each use. The short design of the applicator pipette is also intended to prevent breakage and improve hygiene and dosage control. The companies emphasise that the suction tube inside the bottle is designed to allow the solution to be completely dispensed, thereby minimising product wastage.

High-tech for highly effective contents

According to Aptar, clinically validated skincare brands are continuing to gain prominence in the US cosmetics market, as consumers are increasingly demanding such products. Cosmetics brands are reportedly turning more and more to new dispensing technologies to protect highly effective ingredients and enable very precise dosing. NeoDropper Autoload meets these new requirements. The Futurecode Booster Serum is a new anti-ageing treatment which, according to the manufacturer, is designed to reverse DNA damage and combat the signs of ageing. Dermalogica and Aptar have been working together for years on new packaging solutions. In 2022, Dermalogica, in collaboration with Aptar, unveiled a fully recyclable dosing pump made from polyethylene.
