Packaging for everyone

Aptar Beauty receives "Inclusive Designer" label

Packaging specialist Aptar Beauty has been awarded the "Inclusive Designer" label in Paris. Aptar Beauty is the first company in the cosmetics and packaging industry to receive the award for its long-standing commitment to accessible design. The award is presented by APF France handicap, one of France's largest organisations for the rights of people with disabilities and the promotion of inclusion, and the TechLab at the Institut Polytechnique de Paris, an innovation laboratory for inclusive technologies. The certification is valid for three years and takes into account, among other things, the early involvement of people with reduced mobility, senior citizens and people with disabilities in product development.

Focus on practical solutions

Aptar Beauty is organising collaborative workshops with APF to develop packaging prototypes and test existing solutions for accessibility and user-friendliness. The aim is to identify specific improvements and design best-practice packaging. As the world's leading supplier of dispensing systems, Aptar Beauty is committed to making all packaging for cosmetics and personal care products more inclusive and user-friendly, thereby improving the user experience for everyone. The "Inclusive Designer" label was developed by TechLab in collaboration with the Chair of Technological Change at the Institut Polytechnique de Paris, which focuses on innovation, inclusion and sustainability.

A pioneer for the industry

The award also highlights a growing trend among packaging suppliers to focus not only on functionality and branding, but increasingly on aspects such as user access and diversity. This creates new requirements for brands in the cosmetics and personal care market, for example in terms of ergonomics, haptics and accessibility. With this award, Aptar Beauty is positioning itself as a pioneer and potential partner for brands that want to further develop their packaging systems to be accessible. This makes Aptar one of the first four major companies in France to receive the label for exemplary, innovative practices in the area of inclusion.
