The young Munich-based skincare company "When Nino Meets Lella" is relying on airless dispensers from Spanish packaging specialist Quadpack for its new plant oil-based skincare range. To protect the natural day and night creams and hyaluronic fluid from contamination and oxidation by outside air, the start-up has opted for the 30-millilitre "Regula" airless bottle, Quadpack announced. The company emphasises that it has provided comprehensive support and assistance to the brand at every stage of development. The dispensers are designed, tested and manufactured in Germany.

A sustainable plastic solution

Ninella deliberately avoids using glass jars in order to reduce its carbon footprint and the high energy consumption involved in production, transport and recycling. The bottle, made from recyclable PET and PP plastics and equipped with a metal-free pump, is produced locally at the Quadpack factory in Kierspe, North Rhine-Westphalia. The airless technology preserves the natural ingredients and minimises product residue. The packaging design stands out with its gold lettering on a black background and a silky finish. "As a start-up company, we were often perceived and treated as just one of many customers," reports Nino Waldschmidt. Quadpack then offered the team the opportunity to produce a small batch. " We had the feeling that they were really interested in us and our products."

A piece of family history

Since its market launch in May, the brand has been well received, says Waldschmidt. "Customers and retailers are impressed by the effectiveness and design of the airless dispensers and have opened up many new opportunities for us." The history of the brand goes back to the relationship between the young Nino and his grandmother Liselotte Sartori, known as "Lella". In the 1960s, she founded Switzerland's first beauty farm in Locarno on Lake Maggiore and developed her own skin care creams with natural ingredients. When her grandson Nino was born, Lella passed on her knowledge and values to the family. Nino Waldschmidt and his parents Pamela and Thomas founded the company and are continuing her ideas. Quadpack will be exhibiting at CosmeticBusiness 2026.
