New CEO at Wella
Manager Calvin McDonald to drive further growth
The Wella Group has appointed Calvin McDonald as its new CEO and member of the Supervisory Board. The successful manager, who is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Walt Disney Company, will take up his position in New York on 2 April, the company announced. As a three-time CEO, McDonald brings extensive experience with leading global consumer goods brands and retail companies, emphasised the chairman of the supervisory board and former CEO, Glenn K. Murphy. Among other things, McDonald spent five years at Sephora America, a division of the luxury goods group LVMH, where he drove strong growth in hair care, and tripled sales as CEO of the Canadian sports brand Lululemon Athletica.
