The US packaging group Berlin Packaging has presented new, sustainable solutions for skin and hair care products. The innovations include AirLight Refill, a new collection of refillable airless packaging in a glass-free version made from recycled plastic and recycled PET. In addition, the Foamy series is now available in two new sizes and as a travel version.

Cult design recyclable

According to the company, AirLight Refill is one of the brand's iconic designs. Now, for the first time, a glass-free version has been developed using recyclable plastics and recycled PET. Five of the eight components are reusable. Three components, which are replaced with each refill, are recyclable. This ensures the recyclability of the light blue, semi-transparent containers. They are characterised by a long service life and maximum protection of the products, emphasizes Vivien Charrey, Managing Director of Berlin Packaging Beauty. The pump is designed for up to 25 refills and thus significantly reduces waste. The refillable dispensers are available in 15, 30 and 50 millilitre sizes. Their design enables quick, clean refilling.

A glass frother in travel format

Following a 150-millilitre dispenser, Berlin Packaging Beauty is also expanding its Foamy range to include two sizes, 30 and 50 millilitres. The company also offers the first glass solution for foaming products in travel size. The refillable packs and glass construction combine a high-quality appearance with a reduced environmental impact, says Charrey. Thanks to a wide neck, the system is easily reusable and can be refilled up to 25 times. Berlin Packaging Beauty produces a wide range of glass, plastic and metal containers and closures for the cosmetics and perfume industries, supplying billions of packaging items annually to customers in a variety of sectors. The company was founded in 1988 by Andrew Berlin. It is headquartered in Chicago, with an EMEA headquarters in Milan.
