Long-lasting melon fragrance

Givaudan unveils Scentaurus Aquamelon fragrance precursor for hair care

Swiss fragrance manufacturer Givaudan has unveiled Scentaurus Aquamelon, the first fragrance precursor developed specifically for hair care, which, according to the company, only releases fragrance molecules when exposed to external influences. The oxygen-activated technology gradually releases a scent of green melon and lily of the valley and is designed to provide a lasting sensation of cleanliness, freshness and naturalness in shampoos and other hair care products over several days. The biodegradable fragrance precursor fulfils perfumers’ desire for long-lasting fresh floral notes and was developed in line with Givaudan’s sustainability goals, using the principles of green chemistry. With this innovation, the company aims to respond to the growing demand for longer-lasting fragrance effects in hair care.
