The Swedish company Melt&Marble has launched Marble7, its first precision-fermented lipid for the body care market. The bioactive and biomimetic 3-in-1 lipid has been developed for skincare, make-up and haircare formulations and is rich in omega-7 and other bioactive substances. It is designed to support the skin barrier whilst providing structure, stability and good sensory properties, such as a silky feel on the skin and smooth application. With Marble7, Melt&Marble aims to offer bespoke fats and lipids commercially for personal care products beyond food applications, the company said.
