Hybrid for eyes and lips

Nele Kosmetik combines a decorative cosmetics pencil with skincare

The Bavarian company Nele Kosmetik has developed a new, bio-based hybrid serum for decorative cosmetics containing active skincare ingredients, which combines eyeliner and lip liner in one. It is a sharpenable pencil that integrates peptides and ceramides into a fully bio-based material whilst delivering high-quality performance – precise application, visible plumping effects and a pleasant sensory experience, the company announced. The approach thus combines classic decorative cosmetics with functional skincare components.

Sustainable packaging

Together with the Finnish materials science company Sulapac and the Bavarian packaging manufacturer for cosmetics and dietary supplements Weimako, the company is working on a concept that combines high-performance colour cosmetics, active skincare ingredients and sustainable materials. The packaging solution is industrially compostable, recyclable and ecotoxicologically safe. This opens up new possibilities for the future of decorative cosmetics, emphasised Nele Kosmetik.

Cooperation with strong partners

The project is an example of how collaboration across the entire value chain, combined with materials science and formulation expertise, can drive innovation without compromising on performance or aesthetics. The hybrid serum will also be presented at CosmeticBusiness on 10 and 11 June in Munich. The owner-managed company Nele has been developing and manufacturing high-quality colour cosmetics, including mascara, lipstick and eyeshadow, in Upper Franconia for 36 years.

Nele Kosmetik will be exhibiting at CosmeticBusiness in Hall 3 at Stand D02.
