Henkel streamlines brands in the USA
Detergent group divests itself of one billion euros in sales
As part of its portfolio optimization, Henkel has sold private labels in North America to a subsidiary of First Quality Enterprises. The business, with annual sales of 500 million euros, includes laundry detergents, fabric softeners and dishwashing products, the company announced. The transaction is an important milestone and completes the streamlining of the portfolio. Since the beginning of 2022, Henkel has sold or discontinued brands with total sales of more than one billion euros. “We are now focusing with a clear growth orientation on our brand business with technology-driven innovations that create more value for consumers,” said CEO Carsten Knobel.
