GREEN AREA provides a platform for exchange and solutions
The demands on the cosmetics industry and its suppliers are changing rapidly – not least due to the imminent entry into force of the PPWR. From 12 August, the EU regulation will become binding law and set out clear requirements for the safety and sustainability of packaging. This makes professional exchange along the entire value chain all the more important.
On 10 and 11 June, CosmeticBusiness, the international supplier event for the cosmetics industry, will once again bring the entire supply chain together in one place at the MOC Munich. Particularly against the backdrop of new regulatory requirements, it thus offers the ideal platform for efficient discussion of the challenges and opportunities of sustainable product design.
This is precisely where CosmeticBusiness’s new GREEN AREA comes in. In Hall 2, a central meeting point is being created for experts, practitioners and decision-makers involved in sustainable product development and packaging solutions. The aim is to consolidate knowledge, share best practices and jointly develop concrete solutions to the industry’s challenges.
Practical programme with added value
The programme will be led by the hosts Natrue from Brussels and OneRD from Zurich. They will moderate panel discussions, bring industry representatives together and be available on site as points of contact for topics such as certification and holistic sustainable product development.
A glance at the programme reveals the breadth of topics. In the panel ‘How can we understand sustainability not as an obligation, but as an opportunity?’, experts such as Mark Smith (Natrue), Christiane Steger (Mann & Schröder) and Miriam Hempel (NELE Kosmetik) will discuss the opportunities offered by sustainable strategies. On the second day of the supplier event, Judith Fiedler from OneRD will explain how companies can successfully master the next level of PPWR implementation.
The circular economy is also in the spotlight: under the motto ‘Thinking about the future in circular terms’, reo, together with industry partners, will demonstrate how genuine material cycles for cosmetic packaging can be realised. The programme is complemented by best-practice examples of PPWR-compliant packaging design and sustainable brand management.
Further programme details will be available on the website from mid-April.
