Frenchman Bellaiche to become new CEO at Douglas
Sander van der Laan steps down from active management
Jean-Marc Bellaiche, a 56-year-old Frenchman, is to become the new Chief Executive of the Douglas Group on 1 November. The Supervisory Board has appointed him for a four-year term. Bellaiche began his career in 1993 at the Boston Consulting Group, where he rose to become Managing Director for Luxury, Fashion and Beauty, before going on to work for Tiffany & Co., amongst others, and most recently as CEO of the Printemps Group. The French executive succeeds Sander van der Laan, who wishes to step down from active management following a 36-year career in international retail and four years at the helm of Douglas. Douglas currently operates nearly 2,000 shops specialising in fragrances, make-up, and skin and hair care across 22 countries and, with just under 20,000 employees, generated a turnover of 4.6 billion euros in the 2024/2025 financial year.
