First SPOTLIGHT Community Award presented

The award winner is the washing foam concentrate in a refill pack from Nölken Hygiene Products

As part of the SPOTLIGHT novelty show, companies from the fields of ingredients, packaging, manufacturing/private label and processes presented their latest innovations at CosmeticBusiness 2025. For the first time, the CB community was able to vote for their favourite SPOTLIGHT.

One of the highlights of CosmeticBusiness 2025 was the presentation of the first SPOTLIGHT Community Award. A total of 32 companies presented their innovations as part of the novelty show. The interplay of the entire value chain was also reflected in the nominees. The spectrum ranged from new active ingredients to new formulations, innovative product concepts and sustainable packaging solutions and materials. A total of more than 2,800 votes were cast for the SPOTLIGHT Community Award.

Project Director Ivonne Simons is delighted: "I didn't expect so many people to vote and choose their favourite for the first award. We wanted the CB community to be more involved and have a say, and now they can look forward to their own award. The award ceremony was a wonderful conclusion to our anniversary edition, the industry meeting point for holistic product development - from raw materials to formulation and development to packaging."

The first SPOTLIGHT Community Award goes to Nölken Hygiene Products for the cleansing foam concentrate in a refill pack for self-mixing.

Consumers can use the concentrate to make a mild washing foam by adding tap water and save around 92 per cent of packaging material. To do this, the concentrate from the sachet is poured into the empty bottle and filled with tap water. The mixture is briefly swirled and is immediately ready for use.
