Estée Lauder is growing again
Cosmetics group increases turnover by five per cent and improves profitability
The US cosmetics group Estée Lauder has exceeded expectations in the past financial year, increasing its turnover by around five per cent to US$15 billion. Margins also rose significantly, the company announced. The fragrance business performed particularly strongly, with turnover up ten per cent, driven mainly by luxury brands such as Le Labo, Tom Ford and Kilian Paris. The skincare segment grew by four per cent, whilst make-up sales remained virtually flat. For the new financial year, which began in July, Estée Lauder is again expecting revenue growth of three to five per cent, a further increase in fragrances and skincare, and growth in make-up.
