Double-click instead of a cap

Aptar Beauty strengthens its range with capless double-click technology

Aptar Beauty has unveiled a new closure system for spray bottles without a cap. The new technology produces a double, audible click when opening and closing and uses the acoustic signal to confirm that the packaging is securely locked or unlocked, the international packaging specialist for the cosmetics industry announced. The Double-Click technology is available for Aptar’s capless twist-to-lock aerosol spray heads, it was stated.

Greater safety

According to the company, the new feature enhances product inclusivity and reliability for online retailers. Combined with tactile elements such as textured finger grips or ribbed collars, it is designed to improve user-friendliness and build trust. Thanks to the double-click mechanism, consumers with varying levels of motor skills can operate aerosol formulations safely and comfortably. At the same time, risks that can arise during e-commerce transport, such as leakage, accidental discharge or breakage, are reduced. Brands and consumers can thus benefit from increased transport safety and product integrity, as well as a lower risk of returns due to transport damage.

Reduced resin consumption

According to Aptar Beauty, pressurised spray technologies ensure an even, gentle spray mist with generous dispensing right up to the end of the application. They are suitable for a wide range of applications, from body to hair sprays. They are also available with up to 100 per cent post-consumer recycled (PCR) resin and are POM-free. As the capless design eliminates the need for a protective cap, it also reduces material consumption by around half compared to conventional solutions and caps. Aptar is exhibiting at CosmeticBusiness in Hall 4 at Stand B07.
