The EU Ecolabel will be represented for the first time at CosmeticBusiness in Munich on 10 and 11 June 2026. Together with the Blue Angel eco-label, the EU Ecolabel invites visitors to discuss trustworthy sustainability labels for cosmetics. The aim is to inform potential label holders about the certification and its benefits, explained RAL gGmbH, the official body responsible for awarding the label in Germany. “We want to show how the EU Ecolabel helps companies to transparently meet environmental requirements throughout the product lifecycle and to communicate this achievement credibly,” says Kristin Stechemesser from the Federal Environment Agency, who will also be giving a presentation. The label has clearly defined criteria, is independently verified and recognised across the EU. Dr Kristin Stechemesser from the Federal Environment Agency will give a presentation on 10 June at 12:10 pm in the GREEN AREA in Hall 2, Stand A01, entitled “Certification of high environmental performance with the official voluntary EU label: EU Ecolabel for cosmetic products”.
