L’Oréal and the Institut Pasteur launch partnership to explore the role of microbes
L’Oréal and the Institut Pasteur aim to develop new biological active ingredients and formulations through a research partnership focused on skin health. Research teams from L’Oréal and the Paris-based Institut Pasteur will investigate the role of microbes in the skin from an innovative biological perspective, L’Oréal announced. The Institut Pasteur is regarded as one of the world’s leading centres for basic research in biology and medicine and is now collaborating with the cosmetics group on microbiome research for the first time. “Through this collaboration, we aim to uncover the link between the skin and our health,” said Barbara Lavernos, Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Research, Innovation and Technology at L’Oréal.
