Cosmetics continue to grow
Europe's cosmetics and personal care industry association grows
Cosmetics Europe, the European association for the cosmetics and personal care industry, has once again reported significant growth for the sector in its annual report for 2024. Retail sales rose by a good eight per cent compared to 2023 to 104 billion euros, half of which was generated in Europe. A good 30 billion euros was accounted for by skin care, just under 25 billion by toiletries and 18 billion by hair care, with the remaining amounts distributed among fragrances, care products, perfumes and decorative cosmetics.
