Cool application
Quadpack expands best-selling skincare range with cooling metal applicator
Packaging manufacturer Quadpack has expanded its “Skin-Up-Bottle” range with the new “Lotus Pod” metal applicator. According to the company, the stainless steel tip creates a cooling effect upon application, thereby enhancing the user experience with skincare and make-up products. The oval applicator features a central opening for the precise dispensing of the formulation. The cooling effect is also said to have a decongestant effect and help reduce skin redness.
Designed for viscous formulations
According to Quadpack, the “Lotus Pod” is designed for thick hybrid formulations containing active ingredients, such as eye care products, serums or concealers. Upon application, the metal tip distributes the product evenly whilst providing a slight cooling sensation on the skin. The metal tip, shaped like a lotus leaf, features a recess in which the formulation is collected. The solution is available with the Skin-Up bottle, featuring a cylindrical glass flacon in 15- and 30-millilitre versions.
Sensory experience and design
According to the company, this innovation is a response to growing customer demand for cold-touch solutions for both functional and emotional applications. The combination of glass and metal is also designed to create a high-quality appearance. It can be customised for brands using screen printing, lacquering and hot stamping. At the same time, with the “Lotus Pod”, Quadpack is expanding its portfolio to include a metal-based alternative to flock-coated applicators. Quadpack is exhibiting at CosmeticBusiness at stand C04 in Hall 4.
