Cavi Exo Launches First Caviar Exosome Skincare Line

The Korean cosmetics brand Cavi Exo is launching a skin and hair care line based on caviar exosomes. The vesicles isolated from caviar are structurally very similar to human skin and are designed to transport active ingredients quickly and precisely into deeper layers of the skin. Exosomes act as messenger molecules in cell communication, tissue repair, and regeneration. In cosmetics, they are used, among other things, for skin rejuvenation and to combat hair loss, as they activate regenerative processes at the cellular level. Additionally, the caviar extract provides a nutrient complex consisting of amino acids, proteins, bioactive peptides, vitamins A, D, and E, as well as omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids.

Active ingredient from Seoul

According to the company, Cavi Exo is the first to use the patented active ingredient in cosmetic formulations. The company states that the core of the skincare line consists of caviar exosomes obtained through fermentation processes, highly concentrated caviar extract, and probiotic exosomes. The products are manufactured by Cosrium in Seoul. In 2023, the company became the first to register caviar exosomes with the Personal Care Products Council (PCPC) in the USA. They were added to the international INCI list under the name “Cosrium Cavi Exo.” Additionally, Metaoil Caviar was patented.

High Caviar Concentration

The centerpiece of the series is the “Timeless Replenishing Cream.” With approximately 150 million exosomes, the cream has the highest number and contains the highest concentration of caviar extract. At launch, the skincare line comprises a total of six coordinated formulations designed to form a complete skincare ritual. According to the company, all products comply with European cosmetic guidelines. “Our goal is skincare that deeply, effectively, and sensorially interacts with the skin’s biology,” says Managing Director Tolga Er.
