Beiersdorf lowers 2026 forecast

Nivea realignment aims to drive renewed growth

Beiersdorf has lowered its forecast for 2026 and now expects sales to decline in the low single-digit range. In the first half of the year, sales in the Consumer business unit fell by 4 percent, while Nivea sales declined by 6.8 percent. For the Group as a whole, an operating margin of around 11.8 percent is still expected, down from 14 percent in the previous year. The reasons cited include persistently challenging conditions in the global skincare market, the crisis in the Middle East and a slower recovery in the Nivea business. At the same time, the Executive Board approved a turnaround plan for Nivea aimed at increasing volumes and market penetration through affordable, locally relevant products and returning to growth from 2027.
