Beauty from recycled materials

Tubex launches applicator tube made from recycled aluminium at CosmeticBusiness

The Tubex Group launched its latest product, MonoSense, at CosmeticBusiness 2025. It is one of the first applicator tubes made entirely from recycled aluminium. The single-material tube with integrated applicator is manufactured from a single piece and does not contain any multi-material components. This significantly improves further recyclability. MonoSense has been specially developed for precise application in the eye and lip area. It is particularly suitable for cosmetic products that require gentle application. The naturally cooling surface of the tube ensures a pleasant application experience.

Precision in cosmetics

In addition to the sustainable design, MonoSense offers high barrier properties. They protect the respective product from light and air, thus ensuring hygiene and stability. A suck-back effect is avoided so that product integrity is maintained. The tube also offers high dosing efficiency for optimum product utilisation. The new product is available in various sizes and offers a wide range of design options for different brands. There is a choice between aluminium and plastic caps. "With the MonoSense, we are setting a new standard for aluminium packaging," said the CEO and owner of Tubex, Cornelius Grupp. The one-piece tube combines aesthetics, user convenience and environmentally conscious circular design.

Aluminium innovations for the world

"At Tubex, we are committed to the continuous development of aluminium tube packaging through targeted innovation and design," says Grupp. The Tubex Group is a leading global supplier of aluminium packaging for the beauty, food, pharmaceutical and technology sectors and supplies around 650 customers in 76 markets worldwide. The company currently employs more than 2,000 people at eight locations.
