Bath salts packaged in paper
Kneipp is trialling a limited-edition version of its crystals on the market for a short period
Natural cosmetics manufacturer Kneipp is launching its “Lieblingsmensch” bath crystals for a limited time in a round paper-wrapped tin, which is made of more than 93 per cent paper. Until now, the company’s packaging has been made of composite materials that are difficult to recycle. “Through this trial with the limited edition, we want to find out how well the material suits the bath salts and whether it is accepted by customers,” says packaging engineer Jessica Raich. Although packaging is considered recyclable in Germany if 95 per cent of it is recyclable – with a proportion of more than 93 per cent, Kneipp is already close to the desired result.
