Babor celebrates 70 years
Skin care specialist launches limited edition anniversary sets
The family-owned company Babor, inventor of the patented HY Oil, is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year and is launching two limited edition skin care collections: the ‘70 Years Anniversary’ set and the ‘Anniversary Cleansing’ sets, each containing HY Oils and other coordinated care products. According to the company, the collections are aimed at professional skin care users. The company was founded in Cologne in 1956 by chemist Dr Michael Babor, who developed a water-friendly cleansing emulsion. Pharmacist Leo Vossen took over the majority stake in 1960, moved the headquarters to Aachen and expanded Babor into a global brand. Today, the family business is run by the third generation.
