Austrian Households Spend 225 Euros a Year on Cosmetics and Body Care
In Austria, the total expenditure for household needs for cosmetics and body care fell by four per cent in 2021 compared to the previous year.
The Austrian cosmetics industry platform “Kosmetik transparent” reports this on the basis of a GfK study. According to this, every private household invested an average of 225 euros and thus purchased 57 products. That is ten euros or three products less than in 2020. In the previous year, the numbers had increased against the background of the corona pandemic and the associated stockpiling. With 62.3 per cent of the sales, the drugstore trade was able to increase by 2.1 percentage points compared to 2020.
