Natura-Tec Olive Squalane OL is produced as part of a circular economy strategy in which olive oil by-products are recycled as raw materials for squalene and squalane. In contrast to many other plant-based raw materials, olive trees do not require artificial irrigation and therefore have a low water consumption. All other materials and by-products required for the process are recovered during the production of lubricants and biodiesel. This enables Natura-Tec to have complete supply chain traceability, as production is integrated from the supply of raw materials to the final production. The CO₂ footprint is kept to a minimum due to the European/Mediterranean location of the production facility and the associated short delivery routes.
