Toolbox for sensuality
Givaudan introduces ChériScentz, a fragrance design tool for perfumers
Givaudan has unveiled ChériScentz, a new technology designed to help perfumers create sensual fragrances. The technology expands the extensive range of neuroscientific innovations such as MoodScentz+ , VivaScentz and DreamScentz, the international supplier of fragrances and cosmetics announced. ChériScentz enables consumers to live their sensuality in everyday life. The innovation shows how odours can evoke feelings of attraction, intimacy and shared experience. 95 per cent of Brazilian women associate perfume with sensuality, and 72 per cent of French and American consumers say that a person's scent makes them want to touch or kiss them.
Innovative approach
The innovative tool, which was developed in Brazil, utilises modern research results from global consumer studies and is evaluated using G-Evocations, a special method for evaluating fragrance impact. According to Givaudan, the approach guarantees high discretion, high-quality results and consumer relevance in various markets. The company's centre of excellence for health and well-being played a key role in the development of the patent-pending algorithm.
Complex range of fragrances
"The demand for fragrances that express authenticity, inclusivity and emotional connection n is growing," says Jeremy Compton, Global Head of Science and Technology Fragrances. ChériScentz recognises these needs and enables perfumers to create appealing fragrances that reflect the complexity of modern sensuality. This includes expanding the fragrance offering beyond fine fragrances to other product categories for bath, body, laundry and home." In 2024, the long-established company Givaudan employed around 17,000 people worldwide and generated sales of almost eight billion euros.
