Givaudan focuses on high efficacy – and emotional moments

Swiss cosmetics ingredient manufacturer Givaudan Active Beauty has further developed its existing Unispheres carrier technology. The new process uses microspheres that not only create visual effects but also enhance the emotional aspects of product perception. The innovative ingredient is available in two variants, “Essentials” and “Signature,” and is vegan, biodegradable, and free of microplastics. In tests, three-quarters of users of a serum with Unispheres technology rated its effectiveness at eight to ten out of ten points – compared to 55 percent for a comparable formulation without microspheres.

Essentially, Unispheres consist of precisely shaped microspheres with uniform size, shape, and color, which ensure high stability in formulations and can be easily integrated into all types of skin and hair care applications. They are designed to attract visual attention, intensify the emotional experience, and at the same time enhance performance perception.
