Henkel Boosts Profitability

Group Continues Focus on Efficiency and Innovation Despite Decline in Sales

The Henkel Group reported a decline in sales from 21.6 billion to 20.5 billion euros in 2025, but intends to continue the transformation it has begun. “Our business environment is marked by major challenges, including military conflicts, geopolitical tensions, and tariff and trade disputes,” said CEO Carsten Knobel. While exchange rate effects in particular had a negative impact on sales, the company’s earnings power and profitability had increased significantly, especially through innovations, efficiency gains, and the growth of high-margin brands. Innovations included Schwarzkopf’s new “Creme Supreme Coloration” and the “House of Hair” concept at five locations, including Hamburg, Los Angeles, and Tokyo, where innovations in the hair cosmetics business are consolidated. Additionally, the company is further expanding its growth through acquisitions totaling over 1.2 billion euros. Further information …
