And the Beauty Brands of the Year Are …

Winners of German Brand Award 2021 Announced

This year's German Brand Awards have been celebrating four cosmetics brands. The prize is awarded each year by the German Design Council and the German Brand Institute in recognition of brand success and brand management, along with sustainable campaigns and marketing projects.

Jungglück from Munich received gold in the "Excellent Brand Beauty and Care" category. The company hopes to initiate a change in the way people in the cosmetics business think about transparency and sustainability, as well as taking on full social responsibility in the local area by supporting charitable activities, it explains. The jury was impressed by the commitment this young company demonstrated in successfully creating an authentic cosmetics brand in a short space of time. Jungglück reportedly was able to translate attributes such as naturalness, sustainability, transparency and social commitment into a convincing brand package.

Successful Brand Premiers

The Henkel brand M:ID and PoBeau by Dr. Glueckstein Beautiful Skincare also won prizes in this category. M:ID claims to be Germany's first personal scalp and hair care product for men. A product quiz on the website helps consumers develop their own personal care routine. The brand hopes to offer a platform where men can feel comfortable and able to talk about problems such as hair loss, they continue. PoBeau is considered the first range of skincare products for healthy and well-cared-for buttocks. The company presentation is designed to convince consumers that by using serum masks they can give their other cheeks the same loving care and attention that they give their faces.

Brand Message as a Statement for a Generation

The new beauty brand "Salted" earned a "Special Mention" in the "Excellence in Brand Strategy and Creation" category. It offers facial care based on natural ingredients from the sea. Salted aims to offer skincare for a generation of young women who want to make the world a better place. The brand uses the slogan "F*ck Sweet. Be Salted." as a way for this target group to make a statement.
