Unilever Launches First Detergent With Recycled CO2
The Unilever brand Coral has used carbon from recycled sources in a laundry detergent for the first time.
It has been available at the German drugstore chain dm since the beginning of November. According to the manufacturer, this recycling process captures industrial emissions such as CO2 before they enter the atmosphere. The carbon contained is then processed into a cleaning substance. Unilever, by its own account, plans to replace fossil carbon in all detergents and cleaning agents with those that come from renewable or recycled sources by 2030. Further information …
