Unilever acquires Minimalist
Young Indian beauty care brand hopes for international success
The Indian subsidiary of the international consumer goods company Unilever is buying the innovative skin and hair care brand Minimalist. The beauty care series focuses on high-quality, scientifically based and consumer-oriented skin care solutions. Founded in 2020, the rapidly growing company has achieved annual sales of more than €50 million within four years. Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) is initially acquiring 90.5 per cent of the shares and plans to take over the remaining shares within two years.
