Refillable Cosmetic Jar Based on Compostable Bioplastic with Wood or Cork Scraps
Corpack has unveiled a cosmetic jar that combines several sustainable properties including a refill system and natural-based and biodegradable material.
It Leaves No Microplastics in the Environment
According to the manufacturer, the jar is made from cellulose-based bioplastics and either FSC-certified wood waste or cork waste. This natural fibre composite is industrially compostable, fully biodegradable and leaves no microplastics in the environment.
The inner jar can be removed and replaced. According to the company, this means that the packaging can be reused multiple times. The inside is made of PP and is recyclable.
No Varnish Required
The refillable cosmetic jar is distinguished by a natural look and feel, which is characterised by visible scraps of wood or cork. According to the manufacturer, the matte surface of the packaging does not require any varnish. The jar is currently available in 5ml for lip products and 50ml for skincare products.
