L'Oréal has acquired Lactobio. The Denmark-based firm specialises in probiotic and microbiome research. It was founded in 2017 by two researchers, who develop precision probiotics, created from a large biobank of lactobacillus bacteria. These will be used in the development of topical formulations containing live bacteria, imparting numerous benefits to skin and hair, according to L'Oréal.
