B2B Demand for Affordable Beauty Products Is Growing

Wellness and beauty products are becoming increasingly important on the platform for global B2B e-commerce Alibaba.com. According to the company based in the People's Republic of China, the number of B2B buyers in the beauty and cosmetics sector has risen by 12 per cent compared to the previous year. Germany is the most important growth market with an increase of 27 per cent, followed by France and the United Kingdom. Alibaba.com describes the development as the "lipstick effect", whereby consumers are looking for affordable products to feel beautiful even in challenging economic times.
