Sedema hopes to combat dark circles under the eyes with its new active agent "Ameyezing". The ingredient is obtained through supercritical CO2 extraction of hazelwort rootstocks (Zingiber zerumbet), and is effective against both hyperpigmentation and vascular dark circles, the manufacturer explains.

Sederma states that "Ameyezing" is an eco-designed active ingredient that conforms to the COSMOS-standard. The ingredients are sourced in south-eastern Madagascar from a company certified by "Ecocert for Life".

Sticks and Ampoules the First Care Products to Contain the Active Ingredient

One of the first products is the Ameyezing stick, which improves the area around the eyes. It can help fight dark rings, puffy eyes and crow's feet, according to the manufacturer. It is easy to avoid getting anything in your eyes when using the stick. The contents of the eye stick are claimed to be 96.8 per cent natural.

An "Essential Eye Contour Booster" is also available as an ampoule. Sederma describes the product as an "anti-fatigue-package" for the skin around the eyes. The care product is light in texture and dries quickly. Its natural origin content is said to be 96.44 per cent.
