Folds in reverse gear
Givaudan turns back the clock on skin ageing
The leading international manufacturer of flavours and fragrances, Givaudan, has launched PrimalHyal UltraReverse, which it claims is the smallest and most sustainable intracellular hyaluronic acid on the market. According to the Swiss company, the active ingredient penetrates skin cells and works at the DNA level. Thanks to biotechnological processes, it combats the primary signs of skin ageing at the root and thus improves the skin structure.
Hyaluron with high-tech
According to Givaudan, hyaluronic acid targets four main signs of skin ageing. These include restoring DNA processes and increasing the activity of enzymes that play an important role in regulating ageing processes. In addition, DNA repair mechanisms are strengthened for healthier skin, telomerase activity is reactivated and proteasome activity is increased to ensure optimal cell function. Through its biological action, PrimalHyal UltraReverse not only protects the skin from ageing, but also from environmental stress.
"Up to six years younger"
"With PrimalHyal™ UltraReverse, we are setting a new standard in anti-ageing skincare," says Laurent Bourdeau, Head of Active Beauty at Givaudan. The product helps to reduce fine lines and wrinkles and give the skin a younger and healthier appearance - with skin ageing reduced by up to six years. PrimalHyal UltraReverse is now available to skincare manufacturers and offers different application options for different product formulations. It is produced by precision fermentation and thus reduces the environmental impact.
Givaudan is co-exhibiting at CosmeticBusiness 2025 at the Surfachem stand in Hall 2 D14.
