Dr.G now belongs to L'Oréal
Cosmetics group wants to market popular skincare brand internationally
L'Oréal has acquired the Korean skincare brand ‘Dr.G’. The French cosmetics group has acquired the entire parent company Gowoonsesang Cosmetics from the Swiss retail group Migros, the company has now announced. ‘Dr.G’ was founded in 2003 by dermatologist Dr Gun Young Ahn and is now one of the leading skincare brands in South Korea with a growing presence in Asia. In future, global internationalisation is to be driven forward, according to Clichy.
