    We feel our reality accelerating, change has become a constant in our lives. Fantasy and reality are becoming one, and digitalisation is at the core. Everything is in motion, even the culture of our coexistence is changing.

    These changes are profound, because our basic attitudes need to be redefined. How are we dealing with the challenges associated with climate change and sustainability? Which aspects of these complex issues do we consider relevant? What will future alternative materials look like, how will they change our aesthetics? Sustainability is not a trend - it is the fundamental requirement in all the products and processes we want to develop and manufacture.

    Niels Holger Wien is a trend analyst and colour expert for the German Fashion Institute DMI and President of the international trend network INTERCOLOR, where he represents Germany through DMI Germany. He sees himself as an idea promoter. His Zeitgeist analyses and trend forecasts are geared towards creative people and developers in every fashion sector and provide interdisciplinary inspiration, from cosmetics and packaging to graphics and interior design.

    Lecture is given in German and simultaneously translated into English.
