Powder Shampoo Honours Founding Father Schwarzkopf
Schwarzkopf from Henkel has released a special edition of its first shampoo. With the “Limited Edition Shampoon 1898”, the company wants to honour its founding father Hans Schwarzkopf. The pharmacist invented the powder shampoo 122 years ago in Berlin, which was superior to the hair washing soaps available at that time, the company says.
The new edition is also produced in powder form, true to the original. The shampoo is filled by hand into a glass bottle inspired by those of 1898. According to the company, the product is free from silicones and sulphates, which makes it mildly cleansing and therefore suitable for daily use. The powder is mixed with a little water in the palms of the hands and then distributed in the hair like a traditional shampoo today.
Today One of the Pioneers of Hair Cosmetics
With this special edition, the company says it wants to celebrate the cornerstone of its company history and the combination of hair expertise and innovation. Today the brand is one of the pioneers in hair cosmetics worldwide.
By selling this limited edition, Schwarzkopf also wants to support children in need as part of the charity event Tribute to Bambi.
