Three Dutch Beauty Awards for Mäurer & Wirtz
Mäurer & Wirtz, manufacturer of licensed and proprietary fragrances, have received three awards at this year's Dutch Beauty Award. The company enjoyed the most success in the category "Most Popular Fragrances for Women", in which it took first place with the 4711 Original Eau de Cologne and third place with s.Oliver #Yourmoment. Baldessarini "Black" earned third place amongst the men's fragrances.
New Composition of an Old Classic
The jury was won over by the floral scents of Eau de Cologne with its "surprisingly feminine compositions of the original". According to Mäurer & Wirtz, the fragrances from the Floral Collection are all based on a flower, which is then transformed into a perfume. The new fragrances of rose, jasmine and lilac were awarded.
As for the s.Oliver fragrance, the jury also praised the composition of fruit and floral notes, with the scent of peony at its centre. The experts also viewed the Baldessarini fragrance as an "interesting and intensive" launch that takes the brand in a new direction.
Coveted Award in the Netherlands
The Dutch Beauty Award is regarded as one of the most prestigious awards for new cosmetic products in the Netherlands. The competition is organised each year by the Dutch Beauty Association and this year marked the 35th anniversary of the awards. However, for the first time, this year the jury were not present at the grand event. Instead, the award winners for the 25 categories were announced via livestream.
